Samsung HW-Q950T Soundbar - Just Adequate

I purchased the Samsung HW-Q950T Soundbar - It is adequate. I really like the sound quality for TV shows and movies, and got it at a really good price (not full retail), so I will keep it based on sound/price. Like many reviews I read prior to purchase, I have the same issues with the built-in Alexa not being able to integrate with my whole home multi-room music echo speakers around the rest of the house, and I also experience the sound cutting out for a micro-second here and there on most music, but it is tolerable given I got it primarily to watch TV. I also find the controls being located at the top of the soundbar a poor design choice, but I can do everything I care about via the Samsung SmartThings app, sans the ability to adjust individual speaker volumes. If I had it to do over again, I might have looked more deeply at the Sonos which can allegedly work with Alexa multi-room music.

Sony MDR-Z7m2

These are surprisingly good headphones for my taste. I have tried many brands and I would say Sony are my favorite. They are very similar to the Z1R, which I also have and love, but smaller and more portable, while equally comfortable. They can easily be my last headphone purchase. Lastly, it is my personal opinion, but I don't agree with some of the criticism about their sound. I was cautious to buy them because of some negative reviews, but I don't find them lacking or missing anything in the music, especially vocals; while they are not over-emphasized, they sound perfectly natural and pleasing. The bass is also very well controlled and present. I find the highs quite enjoyable even after long listening, while with some other headphones my listening gets fatigued. These are detailed, yet gentle and relaxing at the same time. Superb built and look amazing also.

Awesome sound

I was afraid of buying this, all new sound-bar have issues and they release firmware to address them. The sound it’s just awesome. The rear speakers sound good which my precious Samsung sound-bar was terrible and I could hear a humming sound. Play with the settings do the firm upgrades and you should be good. I left the original settings and I adjust depending on the content. Atmos sound awesome! I have an lgcx65 and I have no problems at all. I don’t like the fabric they added instead of the metal. It can collect dust. I also did not like that they placed the display on top.

Q950t

Couple things. This sound system is great once hooked up correctly. Facing your tv put the sub on the left side of the soundbar like the manual says, i didn't do this at first and had issues with bass response. Gone once following directions. If your experiencing crackling noises change the channel on your wifi router. Login on a laptop and change it.
