    Quality only where it's needed.

I want quality thickness cables and good protection where cables enter plug. I'm ok with a plastic sata plug housing instead of the heavy rubber style. This adaptor will NOT power a 2.5" 10,000rpm hard drive. It will power a 2.5" 7,200rpm hard drive, with just the main usb plugged in. Linux Mint recognized and posted it before I even got the 2nd usb in. So, the 2nd usb just gives faster data transfer? Sorry, not motivated to test. If using two usb ports that are long side adjacent = then coax/hold cables in that position BEFORE plugging in. That's the downside of thick cables. Bottom line: Nice mix of quality/cheap for cheap price. Winner!

  • Simply works, had no issues with it. Great price.

For those of us that routinely work on 2.5" {laptop} SATA hard drives, this IS a time saver and with a lot less clutter on your workbench. Has dual USB connections for extra power when needed. So far, I have not had a drive not be recognized and I have used just the one USB port without need for the second. I do not believe this tool will disappoint you.

  • Connect your hdd to any pc! Great for laptops

Easy way to image your laptop hard drive, perform diagnostics & repairs, or transfer large files quick. With two USB plugs, one uses power while the other is free to transfer data at maximum speed. Also nice to use as an interface to an old pc without eSATA abilities

  • Excellent!! Thick quality cables.

Excellent!! Thick cables of quality. Fits perfectly and sits firm when connected. Speed with my SSD drive was very good considering it was only 2.0 - A USB 3.0 Version would be ideal. But for now this is doing the job and doing it well. Portable too. I now carry it with me to work. No need for power supply. The double USB cable connection work together to draw power from computer. Laptop or desktop. Glad I found this. Been searching for a while. Thank you for a very useful, portable and quality made product. I highly recommend this to anyone who has SSD's and are constantly swapping them out in your computer. Simply just plug into any USB and get things done. (Does not power 3.5 mechanical type Hard Drives) yes I've tried :)

  • WORKS!

I like the two plug design. USB ports on laptops can be delicate so don't suck all the power out of one.
