Great starter dirt bike!

I bought this for my nephew age 6. After learning the controls and laying it down a couple of times (in a nice safe mulched natural area with a helmet on), he rode it until the batteries gave up. He loves it! The frame is tubular steel so this bike is plenty strong. It is a great way for younger riders to get experience on something that rides almost like a real dirt bike. Don't be thrown by the recommended minimum rider age of 13, I consider that a joke really. There are four year olds out there riding these with no problem. A 13 year old would be too big and probably too heavy for this bike. Two things you should know: the twist grip throttle is really an on-off switch, there is no way to modulate the throttle; and there is no suspension on these bikes other than the tires. Neither one of these is a huge issue, and I consider it be be a reflection of the price point. In comparison to somewhat comparable "name brand" $1500 gas powered dirt bikes, these razor bikes are an amazing deal. Funny thing, he and his brother got a high end 2 seater go kart for Christmas, and they choose to spend most of the time riding the Razor bikes instead! I can't speak for the long term, but for right now these bikes are holding up really well. I expect them to, since I have a Razor PR200 pocket bike that's about 10 years old and still going strong. I even rode it this Christmas alongside my nephew on his new one!
