right part, slightly different wiring, works great so far
After almost 20 years the original dual element in our Frigidaire cooktop failed, with a nearly invisible break in the outer coil at the element's outer edge. This replacement part works flawlessly so far (2 weeks). As everyone has said, the wiring hookup for this part differs from the original, but it only took a few minutes to figure out with web help. works great in my Kenmore range
I got this as a substitute to the broken heating element in Kenmore electric range. I watched youtube and thought I had a pretty good idea on how to replace this. I re-attached the cables back according their original positions, however, it wouldn't work. Then I read carefully on the small labeling of each pins like "1a, 1b, 2a, 2b", and rewired the cables according to that. Now it works perfectly. It is about 2/3 of the price on the Sears website. I've had it for 3 weeks now and am happy with the purchase.I got this as a substitute to the broken heating element in Kenmore electric range. Not identical to OEM part... but works ok
Fortunately there are a couple YouTube videos out there that let you know that this replacement part doesn’t wire exactly as the original equipment. Had I not known that in advance I probably would not have been brave enough to put wires in different spots to see if this works. Nonetheless, it does work as well as the original burners once you get it installed. As long as I get good service life out of it I’ll be happy.Fortunately there are a couple YouTube videos out there that let you know that this replacement part doesn’t wire exactly as the original equipment. Works. not a direct replacement.
This is not a direct replacement. The connections are not the same, the connectors are not the same size, and are not in the same place. You should know what you are doing, otherwise you can burn everything. Works, but is not direct replacement. I had problems with the wires reaching the connectors.

Burner works great once you figure out it does not wire the same as original. The reversal of two wires (Orange and Black on Frigidaire model). Easy install otherwise.
