Have you ever wondered what your dog is thinking Meet one funny dog-Enzo, the lovable mutt who tells this story. Enzo knows he is different from other dogs: most dogs love to chase cars, but Enzo longs to race them. He learns about racing and the world around him by watching TV and by listening to the words of his best friend, Denny, an up-and-coming race car driver, and his daughter, Zoë, his constant companion. Enzo finds that life is just like being on the racetrack-it isn't simply about going fast. And, applying the rules of racing to his world, Enzo takes on his family's challenges and emerges a hero. In the end, Enzo holds in his heart the dream that Denny will go on to be a racing champion with his daughter by his side. For theirs is an extraordinary friendship-one that reminds us all to celebrate the triumph of the human (and canine) spirit. This is a special adaptation for young people of the acclaimed New York Times bestselling adult novel The Art of Racing in the Rain. | |

A book that every pet lover should read!
A friend told me to read Racing in the Rain, as I am a dog lover. When I found out it was a story told by a dog, I was not sure how I would like it. The book was wonderful! Everytime the dog said words of wisdom, I felt I was really listening to a dog. The story is about a dog who has decided he is at the end of his life, then goes back and tells you his life story. It is a story for anyone who is losing someone they love or has to make the decision to give a loved one permission to go. Granted it is a dog story and if you have a loved pet, you can identify with everything the dog and owner are going through, but a great deal of the dog fits any relationship. I have given copies of the book to 8 people and everyone has told me how much they enjoyed the story. It really is a must read!!
ABSOLUTE MUST READ
Being a voracious reader my co-worker recommended the book she was reading. Since this was a story involving a family pet and his forever family I was eager to purchase the book. When I took it out of the mail on Sunday I thought I would read a chapter or two but ended up reading the entire book that day. This is the story of life through the eyes of a dog. It made me laugh but most of all pulled at my heartstrings for the very special family he has and the bond that lasted over his lifetime. This is an absolute MUST READ for everyone that has ever had a special furbaby.
Great buy,great value,great story
wonderful story holds the readers attention until the very last page. My son could not put this book down and thats saying a lot.
