Makes a Difference!

Simple tool for tamping coffee into the brew cup. I had to modify mine to fit my slightly smaller than 50mm cup. My cup was 50mm at the top, but tapered to a smaller diameter at the bottom so the tamper would not go down far enough. I reduced the diameter with a sander until the fit met my needs. At the price of the item, this was not a huge issue, but is the only reason I gave it four starts instead of five. Tamped brewing allows for stronger brew, so less coffee can be used to brew the same strengh cup.

Functional but not recommend

It's ok to use but doesn't look nice. Color looks cheap and the finish is not sleek, meaning the connection line is rough. Aluminum is very light so not perfect for a tamper. I rather spending more money to get a stainless steel one.

Fit's the Portafilter for my Breville 830xl
