I have already purchased one before, and at $329, plus i bought the 3 year insurance, for $350.......you can not touch a better generator on the market today...!! i use my generators on a 50 foot sailboat, and while one PG2000 doesn't quite power everything I need, let me tell you what this great machine does. First, my buddy has Honda EU2000, and this goes head to head with that, on noise and power....I tried a window 5000 BTU Air Conditioner when this generator was being broken in, and it "popped the breaker"....but once broken in, i now run, not one, but two 5000 BTU window air conditioners, and it does not pop the breaker anymore, just when it was breaking in...!!I was putting in an Onan 5.5 kw generator, but it eats 1-2 gallons gas per hour, while 2 of these connected run my entire 50 foot boat, on 2-3 gallons....per.......6 to 10 hours......!!! a big, huuuuuuge difference......, if you see this generator under $400, and you don't buy it, you will wish you had....i now own 3 of these, i connect two together, and run anything that the Onan would, but for 2-3 gallons per, not per hour...!! The PG2000IS and the pg2000ISN are the same things, just different color, i called the company on that.....you can connect a pg2000is to a pg2000isn together without any issues....There simply is nothing like it...the Harbour Freight Predator, has been getting great head to head ratings against the Honda EU 2000, and the Pulsar PG2000 IS and ISN run as good if not better than the Predator which costs about $500 now....Read full review

I've always wanted a Honda 2000/2200 watt generator, but at $800-1000 couldn't justify the need. Used ones would pop up but they still get $500-600 for something worth buying. A couple months ago we shopped for an electric car, the fiat 500e. I thought it would be cool to have a small generator to charge the car just in case, that's when some eBay research came up with the Pulsar. The reviews were solid 4.5+ the best compared to any other Honda knockoff, and at $379 (at the time) was cheaper than even the harbor freight predator. I didn't pull the trigger when the car idea fell took a back seat, but the pulsar stayed on my watch list, and one day it dropped to $319 shipped!! Boom!! The box arrived in 3-4 days. Amazing with free shipping. Inside was a new looking generator, oil and a funnel. Just needed gas. If you look at one of the pics, the outer cover was oily, maybe from engine assembly or break in? Glad I didn't get white it would look dirty really quick. The generator construction exceeded my expectations. Solid and well built. Under the cover had a good looking Chinese Honda and lotsa capacitors. Research emphasized a 5-8 hour break-in run then oil change. Bad reviews usually resulted from - open box, add gas and run hard type users. I did about 6 hours in 2 sessions, 95% on the low output mode, then changed the oil, which did look dirty. Not sure if it ran better but it was worth knowing the engine internals are spinning and worn into themselves correctly. Anyway I've only used it with a makita grinder. Worked great!! There is a little smoke on start up with the choke on, but it cleans up quickly. The exhaust can be a bit loud at high rev, but doesn't seem any louder than the Honda. I'm happy!! I can't wait to take it camping at the Dead show in June. We brought a stereo set up last time with a borrowed Honda. Now we'll be crankin tunes and charging phones!! TPRead full review

I’ve looked at inverter generators for years but, could never convince myself to drop $800+ on a Honda or Yamaha. Then I found these and the reviews were great and the price was too. I bought two , one for my truck camper and one for my mom in case of emergency. They are amazingly quiet and started on the first pull after I put gas and the included motor oil in. My 65 pound 9 year old can easily start them and they seem to easily handle even a 5000 btu ac unit that we tried. Really a great product at a great price. You won’t be sorry. 👍🏼👍🏼

I wanted a generator that was light enough to lift without assistance and place in the back of my side by side when I use my electric tree trimmer. It is very easy to start and most of the time it only takes one pull. The first time I ran it I thought it must be in the eco mode because it was so quiet. When I flipped the eco switch it was even quieter. It runs my electric chainsaw just fine and as a test I ran an electric heater using a power meter and could see it could supply 1500 watts without a problem. I have a larger generator that works great but is just to heavy to lift so I can see where I will probably get a lot of use out of my new pulsar.

This generator continues to amaze me. Easy to start and maintain, sips fuel and is very versatile. I've been using to power a commercial fan and hand tool battery charger for at least 15 hours on one tank full. The fan is so large it will over load at start up, but by turning on and off until it is turning near full speed, it operates just fine. Excellent portable generator. Buy with confidence.
