THE PEAVEY GRIND WILL TURN HEADS
Just started getting back into the bass after a 16 year break. Couldnt afford the Steinberger I had so I did some research and found the Peavey Bass Guitars to be to my liking. The Grind is a stunning bass....one piece construction (no bolt on neck) makes for a solid body. The dark striped mahogany is a work of art. The action on this thing is great and the pickups...from a warm deep punch to a sharp slap this thing rocks! Its not heavy, has a good feel, and is well balanced for the casual to the serious bassist. I'm lovin' it!
Excellent value for any Bass player-well balanced, tight tuners, great tone
This bass has a professional look on stage. I like the fast neck and the tones you can achieve thru the pickups. This instrument is well built with quality components and tuner keys. Why pay up to 3X more for a "signature" bass guitar when this one looks and performs just as good.
The strings are very high from the fret. Extremely hard to play. I hate the
Sounds terrible but of course I bought it used. The strings are extremely high from the fret. The controls do not function properly. They are very confusing. The volume and the bass controls both work in opposite directions. This bass is a nightmare.
Killer Bass for the money... I own Spector basses and Peavey Cirus basses and you can't beat the sound and quality of this bass... If you're looking for a cheap alternative to a custom shop bass, this is the way to go. If you own high end basses and you're looking for something to gig with and not worry about dings and bangs and scratches, this is the one for you...
PEAVEY GRIND 4 (strings) BASS GUITAR
LOOKS LIKE A MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE HIGHER END BASS. NECK-THRU DESIGN WITH GOOD SUSTAIN; A VARIETY OF TONE FROM DEEP BASS TO PUNCHY TWANG; SMOOTH NECK WITH GOOD FEEL, ALTHOUGH I PREFER A SHORT-NECK, AND NOW PLAY A GIBSON SG BASS. USED A GRIND FOR YEARS, FOR THE PRICE WOULD BE VERY HARD TO BEAT.
