This is light to carry and I use it for baseboards and where the carpet meets the baseboard. Window sills are simple to clean now that I don't have to go get a hose for my upright and change it out. The cord is longer than on alot of shoulder vacuum cleaners & I appreciate that so much! It has good suction, more than I expected from a small unit. I recommend this particular model.

The suction is only average for an Oreck, but we have all the accessories so it makes sense for us to keep it rather than purchasing a whole new product. I have now purchased 5 Oreck mini vacuums for my car, shed, home and office. I enjoy how easy they are to transport and use. The design is simple but it has a powerful not-so-loud motor. If the hose gets dirty, a long refrigerator brush with soap and water cleans it. Hose detaches easily. Having owned several small canister vacuums from various manufactures, this is my favorite.

I've had Oreck uprights and portables for years. The cord on my portable was frayed and looked like it would disconnect form the unit at any time, so I ordered this. Everything is fine with this. The only teeny problem is that one of the metal prongs on the plug arrived bent. I've been able to force into an outlet and it runs very well. Someday, when I have time, I'm going to grab a pair of pliers and see if I can bend it into the correct position. This unit also arrived with an additional accessory that I hadn't seen before.
