I own three and each has a different lens. 14-45 MM- 40-45- and 70-300 MM Also a third for parts such as the battery cover I had to replace when I flipped it open one day to replace the battery and I was on a road side and the cover went down a storm drain. All I do just about everyday is ride my scooter and take pictures that I print out. The 8.0 megapixel is all you need unless you are going to enlarge your pictures the size of the side of a barn. I can not brag enough about the quality of my printed pictures. I love all of this cameras features and ease of use. I have owned a couple of other brand cameras and were never as satisfied as I am with these. I do not like switching lenses that is why I carry all three. By the way my only complaint is the battery cover. You have to be careful when you replace the battery as it can come off if you are too careless with it. Good thing is you can just pop it back on unless like me you were over a storm drain. .Read full review

I really enjoy this camera! It has everything a photographer needs and is easy to navigate through menu options. The shape of this body is great for my small hands. The viewfinder is small for me since I wear glasses, and it's hard to see the functions inside the viewfinder, but really just a tiny annoyance. The battery life is seriously awesome. I shot for an hour straight without charging the battery and had used it for about an hour the previous day and had no issues. I LOVE the large LCD for viewing, and my photos keep coming out beautifully. I'm very satisfied with the Olympus Evolt E-500 Digital SLR 8.0MP.

Yes the strobe focus was absurd blinding subjects and the focusing is not exactly superfast but the E500 remains a comfortable solid instrument which does yeoman service in good light and has innumerable secret features such as the ability to transfer a photo out of sight to the other card if objected to by the suspicious subject!

We bought this camera to replace an old digital point and shoot (which we then re-gifted to our grandson). We got even more than anticipated. The Olympus camera works beautifully, arrived in excellent condition, and is easy to use (All original user manuals were enclosed, along with an additional lens and carrying case). It's a bit heavy but not uncomfortably so. One drawback is the small view finder, a minor detail in an otherwise excellent camera. We did our homework and know we would have to pay a much higher price for anything comparable.
Great value for a vintage digital camera. Kodak CCD sensor provides nice vibrant colors even in JPEG. Camera is lightweight and fun to use!
