|The Nikon Fisheye-Nikkor is a boon to anyone interested in wide-angle photography. The 180-degree fisheye coverage of this Nikon camera lens produces full-frame, 24 x 36 mm images, and the autofocus camera lens employs Nikon's D-type autofocus technology, resulting in a smooth focus that is easy to control manually as well. Dim lighting conditions are not a problem for the bright f/2.8 aperture, which also gives the Nikon Fisheye-Nikkor a fast shutter speed, so photographers can spend less time worrying about the sun setting or the shot falling apart and more time snapping pictures. The aperture can be opened fully without losing high contrast. At a weight of 10 oz, this tiny autofocus camera lens is extremely portable. The extreme wide view of the Nikon Fisheye-Nikkor makes it especially suitable for special-effects imagery and wide interior shots, but anyone looking for a versatile, lightweight solution for full-frame photography will appreciate this Nikon camera lens.|

I love this lens for vacations and weddings. I have a few images to share.. this lens is super sharp and you can get a lot of different views just by holding the lens in different positions. I highly recommend!

The Nikkor 16mm Fisheye f/2.8 AF D lens had a defective aperture ring and the lens would not engage with the camera body. The aperature ring on the lens slipped and all pictures were overexposed as the camera body could not adjust the aperture setting. Very dsiappointed as this lens should ahve been tested before shipment. Seller was good about refund process and returned lens for full refund.

Nikon 16mm f/2.8 AIS Fisheye lens
This is the best fish eye lens Nikon made. It has a full frame view not a circle like other lenses I tried. It has the amazing ability to take very sharp pictures with perfect contrast and depth of field. The focus is manually operated and as smooth as glass making it very easy to use. This lens is tiny compared with other lenses it weight is less than a pound, making it perfect combination for all day use carrying your camera. I've used this lens for extremely wide view applications such as entire families being photographed in one picture. I like to use this lens when I go to car shows to take pictures of car interiors. If you like to do special effects and like to experiment, you need this lens. This lens is also used for wide view landscape photography. It has to be my most versatile lens in my collection and it is always in my camera bag everywhere I go. Price for a used unit that has the four bayonet filters in the Nikon filter pouch is about $500.00 - $600.00. A filter must be mounted on the rear of the lens at all times for it to work properly.
A novel lens, but one you will love!
Always in my kit, the tiny 16mm f/2.8 fisheye is a handier and more useful lens than you might expect. For many outdoor scenes its nearly 180 degree view provides a panoramic sweep of the scene, and the distortion may be almost unnoticed if you are careful about how you frame the shot. This lens has a character of its own, with rectilinear distortion typical of fisheye-type designs, although this one fills a full 35mm frame. For digital cameras with their half-frame sensors, this may be a practical alternative to more expensive designs for special uses. This is a lens you really need to experience--certainly some love it, some hate it, but its optical performance is excellent. I have been using mine with the full-frame Kodak 14n digital and am very satisfied with its performance.
Great deal on a genuine Nikon lens.
What a great lens. it has been in production in it's current form since the mid 90's. my guess is that there has never been anything that needed to be changed about this lens. i've used it quite a bit now and it takes excellent photos. I have another fisheye that i use on my APS-C style cameras that is of a newer style, but this one works at least as well. Great deal on a used lens that never came out of the box.
