After reading Raging Heart, I had to get my hands on this book also.....Nicole Brown Simpson was a fascinating woman, & her life story was so interesting to read about, I honestly couldn't get enough......this book was told by her friend Faye Resnick's perspective, & she told her view of Nicole very interestingly, shed so much more light into Nicole's personal life, & the way she was,,,,what led up to the horrible tragedy that Oj caused...This is a must-read, for any fans of Nicole Brown Simpson. I could not put the book down. I wanted more! Great job Miss Resnick, for honoring the beautiful & special Nicole, & showing others, confirming what we already predicted about her.....that she was a beautiful soul, strong minded & independent, a woman who was clearly trying to move on with her life, when it was all too tragically cut short, by a jealous, raging ex.Read full review

I never would have bought this book in 1994 when it was published but with a different perspective 23 years later, it was a darkly amusing (unintended, I'm sure!) if not tragic, read. Buying it used on ebay did not benefit it's author, so that was a plus. It was ghost written and poorly at that. I think anyone who has ever read these musings would be offended by the author's self serving inflated ego. That being said, from an historical standpoint, I don't regret buying or reading it. In fact, if you are old enough to have lived through the O.J. trial and remember it, I lowly (as opposed to highly) recommend it.

Now that OJ Simpson is back in the spotlight I was curious about the murder trial that took place in 1994. I didn't pay much attention to it back then so I was happy to find some out of print books on eBay. This is a story about domestic violence and the murder of two young, beautiful individuals that had their whole lives ahead of them. I liked this book because the reader was able to hear the other side of the story from someone who knew her and her abusive relationship with OJ Simpson. The reader sees Nicole as a young, vivacious socialite who appears to be an excellent mother to her and OJ's two children. It is clear that at one time she loved OJ very much but the beatings and OJ's affairs turned that love into hate. OJ was controlling and verbally abusive even after the divorce. He stalked her, hid in her bushes, and broke down her back door months before he finally murdered her. When Nicole finally broke it off for good, and stood up to him, he became enraged. The author Feye Resnick had warned Nicole to leave the area for her own safty but Nicole was determined to stand her ground. What I found disturbing about this book was the fact that Ms Resnick had to discuss Nicole's sexual experiences in great detail when the murder victim could not defend herself. Unless her purpose was to give the defense a motive into why OJ murdered Nicole I saw no reason to paint Nicole as an over sexed, permissive woman who preyed on younger men. From this book we get a picture of the wealth, power and fame that OJ had when he was married to the personable and popular Nicole. OJ had it all but his violent rages cost him everything. All Nicole asked him for was to stop cheating on her and to stop beating her but he refused. The book is easy to read and insightful. I recommend it.Read full review
I thought this book was extremely honest and true. Events accounts came from her heart and you could feel her pain through the words on the pages. This book put you there and the time of the event and made you feel what the loved ones possibly felt. If you watched the trial, then this book brings about a lot of those memories and lets you realize how much and just how bad our justice system can get screwed up. It also makes you want to make a change in your community and with the ones around you and in your environment that have issues/problems with violence and abuse.
So I received my book yesterday, and opened the package was not too happy that it was not wrap with bubble wrap, book was a bit bent. Also, it had 4 old, stick, labels all over book! I had to take them off and give the cover a clean with warm, soapy water. Other than that; inside is satisfactory.
