I haven't owned a ton of smartphones, but I have had a chance to try the LG G3 and the LG G2 and can honestly say the LG G2 is a much better phone. The screen on the G2 is nicer (brighter & more vivid), and even though you can't replace the batteries, charges last forever. If I don't use it, it'll stay charged for days on standby. I could easily get over 12 hours with heavy use, and regular use could probably charge every other day. The body feels more solid and has a higher quality feel. NFC, internal gyro (good to use with Google Cardboard), and USB host mode (I can attach an external midi keyboard for music) are a few extras that I appreciate. On the other hand, the G3 has horrible battery times, I even bought a new battery I thought maybe it was old, but nope, the battery life was still just as bad. It wouldn't last 24 hours even if I turned off all the services, put it in airplane mode and didn't touch it. Normal use could stretch 8 hours, heavy use less than 6 hours. Although you can replace the battery easily and upgrade memory, it doesn't make up for the fact that you can't really use it that much without burning through the battery. The body is more like a light weight plastic, and even though the screen is higher resolution and slightly bigger, it appears more dull, and gets VERY hot which I think might be part of the problem with the battery drain. I've found the G2 to be a solid, full featured, well built, easy to use smartphone. Highly recommend it!Read full review

It was a good price. I sometimes have a problem with the touch screen where you want it to do something and it just looks at you. Also, when you email and touch letters it puts in a wrong letter in and that is frustrating. I even use a little wand for the phone.I have reset it a few times and same thing happens. I use Yahoo mail and I get more spam on this phone and never got it on my old phone which was a Samsung Galaxy III. I would not buy again. I admit this phone is a lot faster and I like that. But it is not worth the aggravation.

Phone has some bugs with the keyboard. Very short battery life for such a large battery. Has no forward button, only a back button. If you go back, you better make sure that's what you want to do. Considering the phones shortcomings, it's acceptable and the price was OK. Phone is not rooted. Many of the factory loaded apps are still installed and cannot be removed. Only 21gb of memory remains.

Got the phone and after two days of updating, it finally was off to the races. I was used to my Note 3 but figured I'd give LG a fair shot. Unfortunately, I was sorely disappointed as the touch screen would freeze almost every time I tried to use the device. After researching, this model phone has seen this issue somewhat frequently. Seems like I just got one of the few bad ones. Probably would have liked the phone had the touch screen worked. Good luck if purchasing.

I HAVE BEEN USING THE LG G2 EVERY DAY SINCE IT WAS RELEASED! THERE HASN'T BEEN A BETTER, MORE PERFECT SIZE PHONE WITH THIS SHARP OF A DISPLAY IN THIS PRICE RANGE SINCE. - THE G3, G4 etc. ARE TOO BIG AND NOT AS TOUGH. I'VE TRIED THEM ALL AND THIS IS THE BEST OVERALL ANDROID DEVICE FOR THE MONEY, EVEN WHEN COMPARED TO THE iPhone 6 and Samsung S6. In my honest opinion this is one of the best all around Android Smartphones ever made! (Especially when you consider it costs only half as much to own one!) The size is perfect for carrying in your pocket. The viewing area is larger than the Samsung S6 and the iPhone 6 and 6S. The Camera is great in low light and the features are endless! More importantly it's easy to learn how to use and easy to carry around with you. Even though it's very thin, It's super RUGGED and it takes beating. The Touch Screen has a fantastic coating that is super smooth to the touch and resists fingerprints better than most smartphones. You'll also notice there's no "Home" button on the face of this phone. You simply double tap the screen to turn on or off the display! There's also physical on/off button on the back of the phone along with the volume buttons. This way you won't accidentally raise & lower volume when holding the phone. - Very Clever! There's even a "built in" remote control for your T.V. and cable! Tons more features built in plus works extremely well with Google for the ultimate Smartphone Experience! You should make sure you buy this phone new, with original software if possible. Don't buy refurbished or used for best battery life and performance. If possible try to buy this phone with the original "stock" operating system. Either Jelly Bean or Kitkat. (You can always update to a newer OS anytime, but these OS work best on this model.) You won't need to buy insurance on this phone either. If it should happen to get damaged, lost or stolen it's inexpensive to replace. If you can find this device in nrand new condition BUY IT. You won't be sorry!Read full review
