Full disclosure: an argument can be made that I'm an Oakley fan boy. If you're looking for a huge backpack for daily use that doesn't have separated main compartments, this will work for you. The backpack does have pockets that you can read about somewhere else so I'm only going to mention that this bag is mainly just one HUGE, cavernous compartment. I thought that I needed at least two separate areas for putting stuff but quickly learned that one over sized area works great for me. What's nice is that there's a pretty heavy-duty, removable waist strap that you will probably need if you start filling the bag up beyond 50% capacity. It's what happens when you can bring everything with you. I could write more but this is what I think I can say about the bag that is unique based on experience.Read full review

Well made, but it's just a big sack. To really organize your contents you'd need a bunch of smaller stuff/dry sacks. Bottom compartment is useless considering it doesn't expand your overall capacity, it reduces it. Same with side pockets. Cool design, well made, functionally inadequate and even though purchased it new at a reduced price, it was way overpriced for its functionality. All image, no substance.

Jansport backpacks are the ONLY backpacks I purchase. they generally last 1-1/2 to 2 years or more before the zippers start giving out. the material is sturdy, I often carry heavy items with my Jansport backpacks and the stitching, straps, etcetera have NEVER given out. usually the first thing to go is the zippers which as I have said last a long time. to me a Jansport backpack is a INVESTMENT because I know they are durable and will last a long time. I very highly recommend Jansport backpacks.

Limited life-time warranty, great quality, white interior makes it easier to find things, new, padded laptop compartment is an added bonus over the earlier model.

This is my second one- NOT because the other wore out- the other just gets handed down to my teen age son. It still looks like it's new. This one's ALL black so I decided I wanted to use it instead. 'Makes me feel like a ninja:) They are rugged, durable, have plenty of places to clip carabiners & rope. My first one cost me around 250 bucks- this one I got a better deal on or I wouldn't have bought it. It's definitely a high-end backpack & worth more than a standard backpack. I'll use it as luggage, but not for air travel- I'd be too scared that it would get lost or stolen. The airlines aren't fit for cattle transport. Best of luck and buy it if you find a deal.
