The pin remover is solid with an adjustment for height. I like it. The only drawback (and it's a dumb one) is the # of threads on the spindle. It's a lot of turns to get the pin needle to move. I have a plastic unit that has 1/5 as many thread and it surprising still gets the job done easily. Anyway: good solid unit with strong parts. I'm happy with it.

Wrong dimension for platform, breaks easily
The platform does not elevate enough to hold the band close enough to the level of the pin. If the band is less than 1/2" thick, what happens is, the band is not flat and solid, the pin just has to bend to get into the pin in the band. It bends, bends more, you bend it back, it bends again. Basically, because the bed is simply not able to level itself with ANY normal watch band relative to the press pin, it bends then breaks. Don't bother. This isn't right, isn't usable. When they add about 5mm to 8mm to the threaded shaft below the platform, it MIGHT be good, if you use it carefully. As-is, it will break the second time you use it to disconnect or resize a metal link watch band, and there are no replacement parts. That simple little part breaks, and the thing is junk. Don't bother. Find another option.

Worked well enough to get pins out
Worked well enough to get pins out and put pins back in the Watch Band. However, I bent and broke off 2 of the Tool Pins because they were too long and thin (and the Steel too soft), and because the pin in the Band was too tight to get started pushing it in. I had to cut off and shorten the small end of the Tool Pin to just long enough to get the stubborn Band Pin started pushing it in (without bending), then I changed to a long Tool Pin to push the Band Pin out the rest of the way. This metal Tool works much better than the another model that is made of plastic. I would have easily given this Tool 5-Stars if they had included more Tool Pins including a couple of shorter Tool Pins, the Tool Pins could also be made from a harder/stronger Steel that doesn't bend so easily. Still trying to find more Tool Pins to replace the ones I bent and broke.

Good for occasional use
The item worked but I did break one of the 3 supplied pins. I figured out how to support the watchband and was successful on the second try, I removed 3 links total. This unit is fine for it's purpose however if you are changing watchband sizes more than once or twice a year you probably should go with a more substantial product. For me it works fine, I'll probably never change my current watchband again.
