I bought this book as required text for measurement and evaluations class. It's what the teacher required and it suits the purpose. The publisher included a companion website that proves helpful and the chapter summary questions actually helped me to understand and apply the information I read.
There is certainly a lot of information here, but sometimes it is so detailed that it doesn't highlight important buzz words and definitions as well as theories. I ended up having to do extra research online to clarify certain points for my class.
I purchased this book because it is a suggested read for one of my classes. This is more of a text book that goes hand in hand with my teachers style of teaching. I haven't yet read much but what I have read it compliments my class.
This textbook is wordy and difficult to read. It uses professional terminology inappropriate for teachers. Even the professor does not like the book but it is required by the graduate program.
Very beneficial for any educator. Discusses validity, reliability, and interpretation of test scores in addition to several chapters focused on developing valid and reliable tests. A very informative text.
