A great TV series that is hilarious and certainly not for the PC (politically correct) crowd. Meet the Bundys. You have the airhead blonde hottie Kelly, her little brother the optimistic and overconfident Bud, the loyal but lazy and snarky mother Peggy, and of course poor Al - the father with a poor-paying job he hates and a family that has no respect for him but with a sharp and snarky wit that cuts to the bone. This 32 disc set has the best picture quality - avoid the the smaller quantity disc sets because the picture quality is atrocious on them due to heavy compression artifacts.

The set should be superior to the 21 disc set. I really couldn't say since I don't own both. The video is blurred. On par with VHS. This series is one that should be remastered and realesed on Bluray. It is an American classic that should be preserved for posterity. With today's loss of all that is non PC, it may not be available in the near future. Akin to the book burnings of medieval times.

Fortunately, for those of us who can take a good joke, Al Bundy came along before most of the politically-correct rubbish. It's no wonder the audience would cheer whenever he walked through the door; his devil-may-care attitude is what great comedy is made of. As for the disc sets, avoid the cheaper full-series sets and the two-season combo packs. They have fewer discs than in earlier releases so no doubt the quality has been compromised somehow.

It's great to see all the old eps of this show, I was a child when I first watched, sitting in the living room with my folks. I wasn't sure as an adult I would still find it funny, but I'm glad I took the plunge to find out that I still find it absolutely hilarious after all these years. My only real problems with this set isn't really the show itself, but the fact that unfortunately they had to change the intro music to this 60's sitcom sounding, slightly similar to the original song, kind of jingle starting with the third season. It kinda doesn't seem to go with the feel of the show. Also the packaging itself is kind of cheap. The discs are split into two piles of stacked together discs on a flimsy spindle on each side. The spindle literally crackles like the sound of the plastic some cookies come lined up in. I do like the inclusion of some of the special features on earlier seasons, interviews with the cast, but I do wish on season three you didn't have to hunt all 10 random clips throughout the three discs in 1-2 min easter egg finds. All in all, if you loved the show and want to watch it all all over again in sequence, including the lost episode "i'll see you in court" then this may be what you're looking for. Check the prices of all 11 seasons individually and see if this isn't better economically. I believe that all the discs in this are the same as in those, just repackaged together here. The visual quality hasn't really been changed much from how it would have looked on cable back in the day, and the sound is probably pretty similar too, so don't look for anything spectacular there, but I'm not sure a show like this really needs all that anyway. Overall it's still very enjoyable, but a very basic no frills set.Read full review
Great series, great picture, lots of laughs. Only thing, you can’t skip directly to scenes, rather, have to start playing the first episode, and fast forward from there
