These are a remake of pre and postwar 072 switches. They seem to be well made and their durability will have to tested since they are new. Fit and finish is good and they have the non-derailing feature of the older models.

The power and function of the switching mechanism works fine. The train derails when passing over the switch. It appears the switch track tubes have been reconfigured or out of line. Not really functional on my layout.

The Lionel turnout works perfectly. The package was delivered ahead of schedule. The product is used but it is in very good condition. All the attending parts were included except one - the light bulb that is inside the directional signal on the turnout switch engine is missing.

When the modern era, Chinese made Lionel switches are new, they work wonderfully, actually function better than the postwar versions. However, the mechanics are not as durable; some parts wear or fail more quickly and easily. The switches can be said to be more fragile. Lastly, when there is failure, the switch may not be repairable.
