Lots of Baking Going On
I never had a one lb. package of yeast before. I read that you can fill a mason jar with it and freeze it and it will stay fresh. This is what I did. I also filled a jar for the baking pantry and have been using it for making all kinds of bread, The yeast is of great quality and I have made many types of bread recently. I recommend this brand and size to even the most modest baker. It's wonderful to have fresh bread so you don't have to run out to the store with your medical mask on during this pandemic. I have baked Italian, Sandwich, Callah and Kalamata Olive bread so far.

Sure, consistent results!
I keep this yeast in the freezer as l lb. lasts a long time, due to the fact that less is required than of other brands. I make a loaf of wheat bread in my bread machine about every 5 days and have consistently excellent results. So it is the only yeast I buy.

Excellent Yeast in Large Size
So glad I snagged this. I prefer Saf to Fleischman's and with me doing so much yeast baking right now, I am glad I got the large size. Fresh with an expiration at least a year out. My breads have turned out beautifully, even when I over-proofed one batch. It also arrived quickly.

Get To Your Yeasting INSTANTLY
Excellent product. I use it for baking bread in my Hamilton Beach bread machine. I'm new to this kind of bread baking -- that recommends using INSTANT yeast, like this product. I've already baked at least 20 loaves in the three weeks or so that I've had the machine. Stale bread, especially the crusts, make great BREAD PUDDING. Great for croutons too! Cut up some chunks, and watch them get dry and crunchy! This kind of bread gets stale fast, since there are no preservatives. I'm now baking smaller loaves ... more frequently ... so I don't have so much leftover stale bread. This INSTANT yeast is perfect. No problems ever. I bought 2 pounds. I'm going to FREEZE all of it; then scoop out what I need for each baking job. Life is short. I'm 74 and have enJOYed a lot of it. But I have no time to waste! Buy this marvelous product ... and get on with your baking! Keep it frozen. And grab more when you need it!

SAF Instant Yeast - A+
The yeast worked well.... Bread came out perfect. 1lb pkg is about the size of a small bag of ground coffee. Stores easily in container in fridge. This is the type of yeast that must be placed in luke-warm water and left to sit for about 10 minutes before placing the mixture into your dry ingredients.
