AMMO FACTORY!
I purchased this press kit as a gift to myself. I have reloaded for years on a single stage press, and it was a chore to load large volumes of handgun ammo. After a short and simple setup, I have been able to reload both 9mm and 45acp at a rate of approx. 200 rounds per hour without hurrying. The ammo functions flawlessly in all of my handguns. The new Auto Drum powder measure is super consistent and easy to use. The Safety Prime works great once you get the feel for it, and priming on the upstroke offers a great feel for seating the primers. When you are finished you can remove the turret with the dies installed and store it the round Lee die boxes. Be sure to order some spare square ratchet washers - a small plastic piece that make the auto index feature work. The are breakable to prevent damage to the press but are inexpensive at @50 cents each. Once you understand how the press works you probably won't break any, but it is a necessary spare part to have on hand. Overall I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone.

Not a new Delux kit
Beware of this kit. It has the older and inferior disk measure rather than the new delux kit that has the more accurate drum measure. The new stock delux kit has the better Drum measure for same price. This is very old outdated stock

An excellent investment
When I decided to try my hand at reloading, a little research identified this kit as the best starting point for a neophyte. After having used it for a couple of weeks, I agree completely with that assessment. The book gives a thorough and complete explanation of the setup and use of the equipment, The equipment is mechanically simple but well designed and robust. The kit is complete and contains everything needed except the consumables (bullets, brass, primers, & powder) and the caliber/case-specific dies. When I started this, I didn't know anything about reloading. Now, after a couple of weeks, I am completely comfortable selecting and ordering the consumables that I need and have already produced a couple hundred rounds for my pistol.

Setup Instructions
Set up instructions should be specifically for this press. Don't need instructions for other press, that I don't have, in the instructions to just confuse me. Also should have a list of what parts you need to completely set up and reload. Press works very well when you finally get everything and get it set up. Lee online video's are a great help. Would recommend this press.

Great value and performance.
I've been reloading single stage with a green press for over 45 years. Started looking into progressive loaders and was put off by all the negative feedback. Primer systems smashing/dropping primers so folks resorting to hand priming. Kind of defeats the speed of progressive reloading if you need to do a step separately Powder hopping out of the cases when the base rotates to the next station. I have loaded over 3000 rounds of 9mm with this Lee turret press and am completely satisfied with the performance. The Safety Prime system works flawlessly. I've seen a video of someone using this press without the priming system and I would not be without. Not an option to omit in my opinion. I've used a hand primer for several years and really liked the feel allowed with that tool. I was happy to discover I didn't lose any of the "feel" setting the primer in place with the Lee Turret Press handle. And you can stop during any stage of loading a round if you need to double check something if it doesn't feel or look right. Also purchased the Lee Adjustable Powder Charge Bar with the kit and highly recommend this $10 item to complete the outfit. I have used 5 different pistol powders without an issue of flakes leaking or spreading around where they don't belong. The powder stays put where it's supposed to and the accuracy/consistency of the throw is amazing. Used to check with my trusty old beam scale every 20th round, later to 50th, then at random round count. Always exactly on the mark whether the powder hopper was full to the top or almost empty. Now I only check the powder throw accuracy when I empty the hopper to stop reloading. I'll dump the last powder charge in the beam scale pan while I use the last primed case to clear out the powder charge bar. I like the safety of the turret press. The round I'm working on is always right in front of me so I get a visual on the powder charge before placing the bullet. I read you can do more rounds per hour on a progressive press, but this press is waiting on me to set a bullet quite often. Taking me a while to get used to setting a primer, belling the case mouth, and charging the case with powder all in one stop. It's a heck of a great tool and value. Like my friend always says, "If a person had one of those, they'd really have something."
