Only couplers I use
I have over 200 HO scale cars in my collection and almost every one has Kadee #119 shelf couplers. My tank cars and a few hoppers have the unaltered version while the vast majority of my other cars have the top shelf removed keeping the lower shelf intact. They work as the prototype does and it can make uncoupling a little difficult but some practice and you can uncouple quickly. I will not stop collecting rail cars and will always use #119.

Adding realism to your tank cars
They look closer to the real thing than the Kadee #158s, when placed on modern tank cars. They work well together, so I'm sold!
