I've been using the KMC X9 chains in my Rube Goldberg machines for a number of years, and they have never disappointed. I particularly like that the chain links alternate from shiny chrome to gunmetal grey, which makes for quite a visually appealing spectacle once the chains are in motion.

it's funny how these things fit everything but dont last as long as the original. in fairness to the product, it does say that it's 3/5 stars in durability anyway. dont expect more than 2000 miles out of these things as i've been using them for the past 4 years. it does the job in letting you ride, but for about 2000 miles only.

Great value and a easy DIY bicycle project.
Since I ride a Recumbent Easy Racers Tour Easy I needed to buy 3 lengths of chain, I actually needed 10 foot 10 inches all together. So I purchased three chains together and then put them together with the included quick connect links that are included one per chain and the bike is great and quiet. Great buy. I researched on Youtube and on one video is said if the chain has writing on one side then that side should face out, but this chain(s) had no directional markings and had text on both sides so I just put the chains together all the same side out and it was fine. Very easy to do yourself, and save some dough and a trip to the bike shop. Although I did buy the Parktool chain tool and the chain brake tool (which I did not need, to pull out pins and reinsert pins in the chain) for this fix.

It's made in China but it is an American company
I am a bicycle mechanic . I have a KMC chain on my Fuji team RC road bike and I have one on my Mount Fuji which I converted to an ice cream it works great I like KFC because the master link works great easy to install easy to take off I take mine off because I put a very little amount of oil and paraffin on my chains and I have a spare KMC chain

These chains are compatible with SRAM and Shimano transmissions at a savings over the their name brand chains. They are a durable, long lasting, highly rated (do your own search). KMC X series chains are the best bang for your buck.
