These and a matching pair of 5 1/2" speakers replaced the four factory speakers in a friend's 2001 Buick Century. The factory radio had been changed to an inexpensive Kenwood AM/FM/CD/USB/3.5, before she bought the car. The system never sounded good, but she was living with it. When I heard it, I thought, I would rather listen to the motor than this. It was horrible. I volunteered to replace the speakers and she took me up on the offer. The original speakers foam suspension was completely deteriorated. What an amazing difference with the JVCs! She thanked me every day for a week and now when she thinks about it. It has been a month and they are still great!
