Well made for the money, should last for many years.
I modified this to fit on the bottom of a small shop-vac that had a plastic clip-on affair that was kind of weak when it was new. The old one, being plastic, got old and brittle and went to pieces after 15 or 20 years of use (abuse?) I used some Uni-strut 3/4 inch pipe clamps and bent the tabs at 90 degrees and used a VERY long hose type band clamp (the type you might use for a radiator hose, but about 3 feet long) I attatched it in this way because I didn't want to drill holes in the shop-vac drum so I could still use it to vacuum up water spills and not leak. I like this caster base unit because it has some weight to it which helps prevent the shop-vac from tipping over.
