I have this tool and the Berry’s hammer tool to remove bullets. When you are starting to reload a new powder that there’s no information about the start and max you typically create 5 rounds of a few different loads and test them at the range. If you have some that are too high or low you want to adjust the load. So, you need to remove the bullets and redo the load. There are other circumstances too. This tool does the job so quickly and with hardly any powder mess. It takes a bit to setup for different types of bullets (HP, SWC, RN, etc). You do have to purchase a different collet for various calibers. I keep one setup for 9mm and another for 45acp. The only negative is sometimes the pulling the lever can be tough and hurt your hand. I keep a fiber cloth on the handle.

Have several hundred rounds of 7.62X54r Russian ammo that shoots lousy groups in my VEPR. But, simply by pulling the factory bullets on the ammo and replacing them with .312 diameter Hornady 150 grain soft points, the rifle is now WAY more accurate. The Hornady bullet puller does the job well. Recommend the Lee factor crimp die to finish the job.

An excellent unit to recover reloading mistakes or to pull down surplus ammo, saving you $$$$ in the long run. PROS: Really works best in a single stage (obviously), but can be used in a progressive if need be. Super easy to setup with the correct insert. Leaves no real marks on the projectile. Make sure you pull slow to keep the powder from flying out with the inrush of air behind the bullet. Yes, it creates a vaccum when the bullet is pulled. CONS: Can be a little finicky with certain projectiles and the adjustment being hard to set with the locking nut at times. Just leave it sort of looses and go by feel. Frangibles do not fair well without some practice... mine was 20 or so before I got it down. They snap in half at the case mouth, if you apply too much pressure, leaving a total loss. All in all a good value, made well, simple to use and best of all helps SAVE YOU MONEY! Enjoy...Read full review

This is a wonderful addition to my reloading equipment. It works so fast and easy, and as of yet I havent had any bullet damage. Diameter and thread size fit most if not all presses. I am so glad I purchased this.

This bullet puller is way and I mean way better than the kinetic pullers. It grabs the bullet and pulls it out of the case.....and does not damage the bullet. The only thing that you will have to get is the correct caliber bullet cam lock...each caliber has its own cam lock....not a real problem as they are inexpensive. This device pulls bullets way faster than any other I have tried. If I load up some bullets and find that I was not happy with the powder weight or the powder itself, I can then pull the remaining bullets and not waste them or spend tons of time pounding a kinetic puller on the bench. Perfect for re loaders who are working on getting their loads and rifles to sync for the best performance. Don't waste your money on other pullers. Just get this one.....you will need a single stage press but a Lee press for about $25 can be bought new and then you are good to go.Read full review
