Great Machine and a great price!!!
Item is of decent size. It is pretty quite and shoots out a very distant, noticeable mist. The noise people are complaining about is probably the few "gurggles" of water you hear when its refilling itself. But what do you expect? For the price, its great and I have noticed a difference. Its easy to fill, you can refill a tank when its on, its not messy, I think its great. If anyone has unusual noise coming from it then they should probably return it as a fire can result from a malfunctioning unit!!!!

Was hoping it would be better
The unit seems to work as expected but I had thought it would work in a bigger area. I have this just in my bedroom 20x18 and I have it on high and with all of the water it's using the humidity in the room has not changed (I have 3 sensors throughout my house to verify this). I think it would work ok in a smaller room but that wasn't what I purchased it for.

Not as great as hoped
First off, this unite is HUGE. Make sure you have a sizeable space cleared out for it. Second, it makes a lot of strange noises... it works, but it's not 'great'
