I purchase this gun a month ago and I finally got to use it over the weaken to strip some paint from my bathroom door it work pretty good it was painless doing it I like it a lot so far now I don’t know how long it will lost using it every day but for the few hours I use it works beautifully.

I bought one of these a few weeks ago. When it arrived, I plugged it in and tested it. Everything seemed to be OK. Last week, I picked it up to use it for the first time. The moment I switched it on, loud pops, sparks and flames shot out of the back of the gun. The fan motor instantly died. Silence. I was holding a death trap in my hands. What is worse is that these are so cheap that they do not have an over-temp cutoff switch. The gun just kept getting hotter. I immediately had to unplug the thing while trying to not set it down on anything that might catch fire. Once it cooled down, it went straight into the e-waste bin. It is just too dangerous to mess with.

Overall the gun works pretty well, especially for being less than $20. The only thing I noticed is that some of the ceramic inside broke off as soon as powered on the gun and fell out of the nozzle. I inspected the inside of the gun and it didn't seem that this would compromise any safety so I continue to use it.
