If you thought farm animals could not help one escape inevitable damnation, then you are in for a rude shock when you witness a group of animals coming together to develop a brilliant plan to raise enough money to save the farm. This rib-cracking Disney animation 'Home on the Range', features a greedy outlaw cattle rustler, Alameda Slim, who sets his eye on a little piece of a blissful family farm. Quickly, three determined cows, an agile karate-kicking stallion, and an army of courageous farm animals team up to capture Slim and collect the bounty on his head. However, this will not be a joy ride adventure for the animals, as a deadly bounty hunter is also out to capture Slim. The hilarious scenes and original songs written by the sensational composer Alan Menken will leave you at the edge of your seat hoping the film never ends.

    Hilarious, Heartwarming, Exciting and Lovely.

    I love my Home on the Range - Disney (DVD, 2004)!! I think all the characters are hilarious! I like how excited Buck the stallion is about wearing Rico's saddle on his back. I also like Pearl and her farm, Patch of Heaven, the way all the animals dance happily together doing their chores. I would love a farm exactly like Patch of Heaven. Lucky Jack (the rabbit) and the Willy brothers are funny, lovable and heartwarming characters in the movie that make me smile and laugh. I also love the music and songs in the movie as well because they are about love, friendship and hope.

    Awesome Kids Movie

    I purchased this DVD for my two & a half year old Daughter, because we could not find it in stores. they said it wasn't a popular movie, but my Daughter would tell you different, She sits and watches this sometimes as many as three or four times a day. it is a NON Violent animated movie the kids just love, I think because of the Average everyday animals in the movie. when my Daughter wants to watch it she says COWS DADDY, WATCH COWS. we originally rented it for her at a cost of $3.00 a day and we kept it for a week before finally returning it and paying late fee's. we then shopped around Wal-Mart, Target, Sears, K-Mart and even one of the VIDEO stores at the MALL of AMERICA no one had it and they almost all said it wasn't a big hit movie. but if not for E-Bay we still wouldn't have a copy, ...

    Don't listen to the "critics".

    I'm not sure why critics generally panned this movie. Yes, it's old fashioned 2D, and yes, it is kind of quirky, but that's why my children and I love it. If you love any of the cartoons from the good old Warner Brothers days when cartoons were made to entertain both the children and adults at the same time, then you'll love this movie. The characters are excellent in this movie and the songs are quite silly, but easily get stuck in your head. I'm not a huge fan of modern era cartoons, but this one had me laughing out loud. This movie bucks the trend of modern children films and doesn't try to teach any moral lesson. Don't expect to walk away from this movie enlightened. This movie is pure entertainment for entertainment's sake and that's the real beauty of this film and probably why most ...
