Functional but output has issues
The audio output when plugged in (whether it's headphones or into a car's aux system) is shaky. Considering i want this for music only, it's a bit disappointing. I know it's the iPod because the same equipment works fine with other devices. Other than that issue it's in good condition and features work.

The Best Exellent
The iPod Touch (stylized, trademarked, and marketed as iPod touch) is a portable media player, personal digital assistant, and Wi-Fi mobile platform designed and marketed by Apple Inc. The product was launched on September 5, 2007, at an event called The Beat Goes On. The iPod Touch adds the multi-touch graphical user interface to the iPod line. It is the first iPod with wireless access to the iTunes Store, and also has access to Apple's App Store, enabling content to be purchased and downloaded directly on the device. Apple Inc. has sold over 32 million iPod Touch units as of the end of 2009. The second generation iPod Touch features external volume controls, a built-in speaker, a contoured back, built-in Nike+, Bluetooth support, and the ability to connect a microphone. It was unveiled on September 9, 2008, at the "Let's Rock" keynote presentation. The 3rd generation iPod Touch with iPhone OS 3.1 was announced and subsequently released on September 9, 2009. It is available with 32GB or 64GB of flash memory. Apple also continued offering the 2nd generation 8 GB version. The new 3rd generation iPod Touch includes faster hardware (the same microprocessors, graphics engine, and RAM as the iPhone 3GS), a slightly lower battery life, voice control, light sensor, and bundled earphones with a remote and microphone. The 2nd and 3rd generation iPod Touch can now be updated to iOS 4.x for free, but can not take advantage of features using the iPhone's camera or GPS receiver. Apple unveiled the 4th generation iPod Touch on September 1, 2010. It features Apple's Retina display and two cameras; one for FaceTime and the other for photos and HD video recording. It also contains Apple's A4 for faster processing, a microphone for communication and voice memos and a three-axis gyroscopic sensor which enables the device to recognize approximately how far, fast, and in which direction it has moved in space. The device ships with iOS 4.1, which adds Game Center to iOS along with the ability to use FaceTime through WiFi. Vote For This Review and Get A Free iPof Touch 4th Generation Free.. Impressive little product. The ipod is very easy and fun to use. Apps load and collapse responsively; web is slow but still impressive considering it is a music player. I bought this mainly to keep me entertained while traveling by air and I like the selection of games to choose from. I think Apple's sync process is confusing and limiting - wish they would make it better. I do not want to sync my whole collection to my ipod, i just want to add one or two things... well to do that you have to figure out how to sync one or two items - lame. In short the sync process sucks. Oh I know, it is probably just me and the fact that I will not take the time to figure it all out; well kind of ironic that it is that same ADD-tendency that draws me to the ipod in the first place. The ipod touch rocks, but dealing with itunes and the sync process is a let down. I rated this a Good because Apple still charges too much premium for its name and then tries to control the price that retailer sell their products (also lame) Look Apple, your products are dope - drop your prices and let more people enjoy your product.
Very handy,.. gets expensive
I bought the Apple Ipod Touch 2nd Generation 8GB for $187 brand new, still sealed. What i love about this ipod is that i can get easy access to the internet (with wifi, of course). I can easily and quickly view my email and etc when i dont feel like turning my computer on, as it can take a while. I spend my time on my ipod to check my email, blogs, other websites, listen to music and to play games! When my computer is down i use the ipod. To me, typing on the ipod is not a problem but you can but a pen specially for the ipod. What i dont like about this ipod is that sometimes it can freeze, it can easily get scratched on the silver bottom part so you would have to buy a cover as soon as you buy your ipod or before you know you're getting one. Another thing is that i really hate how complicated it is to download music to your ipod from the itunes store The first time. It will take a while for you to figure out how to do so but once you've got it you'll do great the next time. Downloading photos is another, it only allows me to download photos to my ipod by folder not individually. Everyone has their pictures titled and under a folder. Why cant Apple realize that and allow us to individually choose the pictures we want to download???!! You cant erase music or downloaded pictures from your ipod, you would have to do that through itunes. The only pictures you can erase are the ones you've saved from a website or email through your ipod. I would use my myspace pictures and save them to my ipod but not all of them saved clearly, some saved blurry and this pod doesnt allow you to listen to your myspace music!!! ugh! i dont understand why since it gives me the option to downdload Adobe Flash Player. The packaging of this ipod does not specify what generation it is. The way to distinguish between a first generation and 2nd is by the look. We were explained by a Best Buy employee before we bid on our ipod on ebay. I cant tell you the difference because i've forgot the Best Buy employees explanation and i havent seen a 1st generation ipod. oH! & you have to have a computer to charge your ipod or buy a wall charger. A wall charger is something they should include for its high price. They should include other things like NOT CHARGING for their NEW UPDATE!!!! Because after all, we end up paying about $300 or more buying covers, cases, wall chargers, pen, and etc!!!... Well i hope this helps and alerts those who are thinking about buying an ipod
