Remember the more knobs you have on something that vibrates the more retightening you have to do throughout your performance. At times I feel like the plate spinner on Ed Sullivan's show - trying to prevent the rods from twisting and turning and to keep in place and my djembe into position. In the end, you basically end up holding the djembe with your knees and pressing up against the djembe with your body until the song is done to reposition and retighten....but I did think - originally - it had a good price so there is that.

This is a great stand for my 18 inch Remo! it was slightly challenging to assemble but I am very pleased with the quality and the sturdiness of this stand. Definitely professional.
