Excellent SATA controller card for the money!

Excellent product, suits my needs perfectly. Running in UnRaid server connected to an HP Expander card. Updated the expander card's firmware through this LSI card with no problem! This card's firmware was already updated to latest version, so I didn't have to do anything except install it in the server. This type of card is one of the most recommended for this particular use, in an UnRaid server.

Great for Unraid

Worked perfectly. Just plugged it into an existing PCI Express 2.0 x16 port connected some cables I got from Amazon and the drives were detected instantly. This card is the shorter x8 version of PCI Express 2.0, but don't worry, it'll still work. Also, the card worked on my 8Tb drives. Shipping was quick, I received them a few days before the estimated arrival.

Working like new

Works great. The only thing that got me was trying to figure out which 4 pin header was for the HDD led activity. I connected to the wrong one and locked up the card and had to reboot my server. Then I tried the other header and all was good.
