The one downside to this watch is that you have to have the Garmin connect app open 24/7 on your phone if you want to get notifications. It’s really minor. I like the watch a lot, the GPS is great and the ability to see your last run, look at your records, and see the weather through the watch menu are things I appreciate. I got a screen protector to keep it nicer longer, but so far (a few weeks in) I love it! The battery lasts almost 1.5 weeks with 2-3 shorter runs.

For GPS Only! Rest is Garbage.
The GPS function and the Garmin app were decent, and that’s about it. The HR monitor is terrible, always searching to ‘find’ my HR, and miles off during a workout. Unfortunately a common issue with this price point. Display was not customizable to be useful to me either. Worthless at night or low light. Returned and spent more $$ for something better.

Great watch for a fraction of the price of other Garmins and other brands. Wrist heart rate, GPS, sleep analysis, phone notifications, always on display and one of my favorite features: I only have to charge this maybe once per week.

So much better than my Fitbit HR
Wow! I love this! I've had it about 2 weeks now and am using it for tracking my runs, walks, daily steps, HR, etc. I went through 2 Fitbit HR's in a year and a half because the battery cover kept breaking off, so it wasn't able to charge. Also, I could never see the numbers on the screen on the HR- rain or shine! I knew I wanted a Garmin because of the water resistance, better battery, better readout visibility while on runs, and reputation. The Garmin Connect app is awesome also and I can set up so many different notifications. I love the Garmin Forerunner 35 because of the highly visible screen read-outs, battery durability, and plethora of information it gives you while on a run and then afterwards, with a summary. Perfect for me!
