Great little device for your GPS pleasure! When this arrived, I was so excited, you see I have had other devices like this to use in my Arduino projects, some have been OK others, well pretty much useless. So when this came in the mail, I grabbed my breadboard and hooked her right up. I was surprised that the led didn't light up, so I tinkered around, then while tinkering, I felt the processor on the device and it was very warm. This could mean only one thing, I must have hooked her up in reverse, + to - and - to + I quickly unplugged the power to the unit, and I was sure it would be trash. I am getting a bit up there in age and I know I should pay more attention, s I have done this to other boards and smoked them to oblivion. So I tossed it in the corner and went on playing around with other devices, till today, when at last I had time to check the device out. To my surprise, when hooked up properly to a serial to usb adapter, she came to life and gave me a GPS readout, time of day, the works! Now that's making the device idiot proof! They must have included anti-reverse voltage diodes in the build, this is something i wish all builders would do, and I am so thankful that this builder did, as I didn't want to postpone the build of my Tricorder unit for my grandsons any longer. Man that's a great builder if I have ever seen one!Read full review

Bought two of modules. One is DOA. No LED after connected to power. The other one can power on. But it can not fix to any GPS signal. A solid red light. No blinking, no message from RX line. Waste some dollars on the cheap module. Should buy a more expensive from branded stores.

got it working finally its 3.3v is just enough for the arduino to serial read i had 2.2k resistors and leds on all arduino io leads for testing, with the resistor and led it would not take the gps tx data pulled the rx led and it works like a champ it constantly streams data, no need to use its rx just 3.3v or 5v power, gnd and tx baud is 9600 n-8-1
