Fantastic Movie!!! A Definite Must See...
This movie is one of a kind. A slice of Americana not often seen. You'll laugh, cry, and have evoked every other emotion imaginable. A hauntingly spellbinding and mysterious journey through the real life troubles and triumphs of a family and of their secrets. Very real, complex, and fully developed characters with an original and thought provoking plot. Any and everyone can relate to this film. An additional character and different ending in the Director's cut! Kasi Lemmons is more than a talented actress, She's proven to be an even more profound Writer and Director. Roger Ebert called it the best movie of 1997! And it's still timely today. A definite must see!!

This movie has been casted perfectly. This is the best movie I have ever seen with the best cast ever in one movie. This is a movie that should be watched over and over. EXCELLENT :) Lynn Whitfield is beautiful in this movie and her acting is superb. I love this movie and I love Lynn Whitfield.

Eve's Bayou
Eve's Bayou is a great movie if you actually sit down and take the time to watch it. At first, I thought that the movie wouldn't be that good, it actually is fantastic. A wonderfully original and chillingly effective thriller. The screenplay, by Lemmons, who also directed, is one of the most astoudingly-written screenplays ever written, and the entire cast's ensemble performance is beautifully genuine.
