Easy to set up
Good print quality
Good Basic All in one printer
Here are some basics. Pros: 1-Setup was easy enough and with three ways to connect to the printer you will no be disappointed. You can even manually program the wireless for other types of networks 2-performance and qualtiy. This printer is fast and you do not have to give up qualitly for speed 3-The LCD and card readers are nice options and it has PC free copying so you do not need your PC on in order to copy. The card reader can be shared across multiple computers Cons Not many cons. Since I just got this printer I do not know about ink cost per page yet. One con may be that it is mising a Fax. Then it will to me be a true all in one. I didn't load any bundled software because I usually have my own. I didn't see any thing that jumped out at me that I had to install like Adobe Photo Elements or Printmaster or Printshop deluxe so to me it was a con. Other notes. It would be good to see how well this printer holds up over the year(s) I have onwed HP printers for a long time now and get killed with ink cost. Hope it is not the same with this one too.
I purchased this item because I had an Epson before, plus this particular item was rated in the top 10 by two different polls. It is easy to use and because of the individual cartridges, ink can be easily replaced. My major complaint is the noise it makes when printing. My other one was quiet, so this was a disappointment.I also don't like the fact that if I want to print on both sides, I must turn it over myself. I wish it would do it byself, as some other machines do. I know it isn't a big deal, but it would save me time, as I wouldn't have to get up everytime to do it. Other than these two small problems, I like my printer and happy I purchased it!
Superb print quality... Easy to use manual
I was undecided on choosing between Epson and HP. HP has a lot of products out there, especially ink and paper. I did more research on Epson, as I previously had one (many years ago)... The more I know the more firm I decided to go with Epson. Here're several main reasons: - Durable Ink: Look for the DuraInk and Paper that has the ColorLock features. You don't have to go with the Manufacturer brands. e.g. a stack of 500 ColorLock paper from GeogiaPacific cost only $5.97 at Wal-Mart compared to similar HP paper at $10 or higher. - Easy to setup and navigate menu. I literally set it up without the CD. Or you can go through the CD and install additional software suite make any less computer-savvy users' life easier. - Wireless! You can type in your SSID and then you can print from any computers you under your network. It's that easy! Wireless is a must-have nowadays. Who want to connect an USB cable or take 10 minutes configuring their computer before printing anymore? This makes printing effortless in a multi-computer home :) - Deep true black. This is the main differentiator between Epson and HP. My company uses HP printers, both LaserJet and InkJet... none of them comes close to this Epson Stylus NX515. Very consistent results. - The only negative is maybe the ink usage... the OEM ink cartridge is small, but you can buy after-market one on eBay for $28 for all 4 colors, instead of over $20 for each.
Great product Epson Printers NX 515
This printer works great. It is very easy to use as long as you follow the instructions. We bought this to use with a yearbook class. The only problem we have had is some of the smoother papers (brochure) don't always feed through well. It works well with either wireless or wired networks. Very simple and easy to use.
Epson Printer Review NX515
Print quality is excellent. Ink usage is average (needed to replace black in less than 1 month). Noise - Poor. It will startle you when it starts the first few times...then you get used to it...but it one of the noisiest printers I have ever owned. But overall I would recommend for the price and print quality.
