Everyone's complaints about this projector are well founded, but don't matter that much Image Quality Everyone complains that it is very pixalated and doesn't look good. When you start watching a movie, you don't notice the pixalation, because the image is moving. So yes, it is bad quality, but no, it doesn't matter. Image brightness Yes, it does have to be pitch black to see it. Why would you want to watch something in a room with a light on. In a theater like room, it doesn't matter The Fan The fan is pretty loud, but it's just white noise, and you get used to it and don't notice it. It helps that it's built in speakers are really loud and can drown it out. Inputs Yes, it only has RCA inputs. What more do you want? Dvd players use RCA inputs. Bottom line, it's a $50 projector. You aren't paying $200 for it, so don't expect an amazing projector. It's a pretty good projector for it's price.Read full review
Bought this item to watch the many documenteries I have on SD cards. I also Purchased an SD player to use on your TV or this type of projector. (Not included with this projector) Also get a three way manual AVI router to put your TV on one, dvd on another, and even a gaming system on the third. big screen gaming, WOW. Not having to unplug AV cables & having so many cables to get tangled , a big hassle and frustration. This unit is very good quality and easy to operate with a manual focus lens being able to show a picture up to 102inch diagonal area. Up to 10 feet away. Best to get an inexpensive 80in diagonal pull down wall mounted screen for better viewing, but will work on a light colored wall or even a white sheet hung flat. Like at the movie theater it is best viewed in a darkened room. Light weight enough to take along, and yet well made for good durability. Try using this for a wedding reception or birthday party when the lights are low and the DJ has music going to show a dvd slide show of the person of honor or run music videos at a small get together. . The uses of this product are endless, so don't worry about long bulb hours and burning out the halogen bulb it is very inexpensive and widely available. Good move Discovery on ease of replacement bulbs for those who have to party all the time. The projector has a fan based cooling system for helping keep the unit in good working order. A plus is the built in speakers, but I would use a set of powered computer speakers for best sound quality. Optional but I am a little picky in that area. I have compared many lower end priced projectors and weighed the price, quality, ease of use, and wide avalability of replacement bulbs. I chose this one best of all and not because of the name, but because of the over all best and durable bang for my buck. I have a background in stage lighting, audio and video equiptment, computer repair and electronics, so I know what to look for and look out for.Read full review
There's a slight issue when I plug sound into the projector. It's weird and it makes this crackling noise even when the movie or other sound effects are playing. Kind of annoying, but overall, I love it.
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
This unit is worth the price for an inexpensive projector. Don't anticipate a high quality picture or an excellent viewing experience because overall this is simply a toy. The fan is somewhat loud; therefore, I would suggest wearing headphones when using this projector. It will not produce a clear image, even in total darkness, when the screen image size exceeds 3'x4'.
its a toy....not useful for more than a childs wall display.....you get what you pay for!! if you want a great image...this is not it... doesnt work with pc as hoped...at least not easily.....
