|Boosting productivity in your home office can be a breeze with the Canon PIXMA MX922 All-In-One Inkjet Printer. This printer lets you produce professional documents and bright pictures as well as make copies, scan, and send faxes. It has wireless capabilities that let you work from anywhere and share your work with others. These PIXMA printers are sturdy machines that weigh 25.7 pounds. They are 19.4 inches wide, 15.6 inches deep, and 9.1 inches high. Their overall black color can give the accessories a quality look that will complement any office. These all in one inkjet models can function as a copier, printer, scanner, or fax machine. The full spectrum of connectivity options on this inkjet printer can let you network and share in whatever configuration works for you. A built in Ethernet interface lets the printer access a computer network at your home or workplace. It also has built in Wi-Fi with AirPrint technology. This lets you print seamlessly from your iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch. You can send emails, pictures, and documents from wherever you happen to be in your home. This printer is also compatible with Google Cloud Printing. You can send work products to the Cloud to share with others and print out their changes and suggestions. You can also print out any photos that your friends or relatives have shared with you. The PIXMA MX922 has impressive paper handling capabilities. You can use any paper size from 4 by 6 inches to legal. You can also use number 10 envelopes. The high capacity 250 sheet plain paper cassette allows you to always be well stocked so that you will not run out of paper in the middle of a job. For two sided printing, this Canon model has a 35 sheet Duplex Auto Document Feeder that can relieve you from having to take the paper out and turn it over. This feeder will also hold 10 sheets of photo stock for double sided pictures. If you need to enlarge or reduce a document or photo, the MX922 gives you a range between 25% and 400%. Whatever size you choose, you can get a bright, clear print with a maximum color dpi of 9600x2400 and a black dpi up to 600x600. Each color copy runs at a rate of 8.4 images per minute. If you are printing photos instead of text, you can choose borderless prints up to 8.5 by 11 inches in size. The printer can produce a 4 by 6-inch photo in about 21 seconds. One of the advantages of these Canon all in one inkjet printers is that they have five separate ink cartridges. This means that you only have to replace the color that is out. The printers use one pigment based black ink tank and four dye based color tanks. The pigment based tank is high yield and is used for crisp and professional black and white prints. If you routinely send faxes, you can appreciate the Super G3 fax on this Canon model. It can store 100 numbers on speed dial, so you can never have to search for important contact information. It also has the ability to receive up to 250 pages of incoming data for efficient printing of long transmissions.|

Easy to set up
Good print quality
Nice but lacks a few things.
Windows 10 required an update before worked correctly but now both wired and wireless are perfect. It only has one paper tray so no putting different types of paper in a different tray or different sizes in the same manner. The printing is not the fastest or best quality but still a great value with very nice photo capability. Even then for the price it is extremely good quality and speed. With the extra pull out photo tray only for smaller default sizes and the CD printing tray makes it handy but only one sheet per printing. The printer itself is very big but it is like a small office copier and fax machine.

MX922 is a good printer, until it breaks
I bought this printer for my mom, who is not a heavy computer or printer user. It's a nice printer with great print quality, scanning, copying. It's also cool that you can print using a wireless connection. The ink cartridges are expensive if you buy Canon, but there are a number of generic versions that work. The problem with this printer is that the "print head" often fails and requires installation of a new part (search for "print head failure, Canon Pixma). I found this out after going through all the troubleshooting with Canon technicians. A new, genuine Canon print head can cost around $100, and that assumes you don't have to pay someone to install it. You can buy a new printer for that price. Good printing. Mediocre construction.

A bit noisy but works great
I've had Pixma printers before so I'm used to the fact that they are not the quietest or fastest printers on the market, but they are a great deal for the price and suit my needs just fine. I print pictures and documents and occasionally need a fax machine. The set up was not hard, but different for me as I had a new computer and this was my first wireless printer. Maybe I missed something, but the DVD supplied with the printer didn't have all the software that came with my last Pixma printer, like the fax and scan applications. I got them online, though. I've only had it running for a few weeks but it seems to be holding up fine. The picture shows red on the printer, but the one I got was all shiny black, which is OK. If Darth Vader had a printer, it would look like this one!

Great prints but................
This is my third mx922. It makes very good color photo prints. It has a good scanner and copier and can fax. Good all in one for the price. Why is this my third one? The print heads have lasted little more than one year before going bad. A new print head from Canon cost approximately $90.00. A new mx922 cost around $86.00. If you like beautiful photos and faxing and scanning with a copier the mx922 is a good choice. If photo printing is not a priority you should consider a different printer.

Good quality printer. Setup issues
I'm happy with the print qualities and capabilities (with one exception discussed later) However, the setup was more painful than I had expected. I have an older Mac running 10.11.6 OS. My WiFi router supports two WiFi networks (a community Wi-Fi network for our gated community and a private network). The computer was already logged into the community network when I attempted to setup the printer. I followed the installation instructions to the point where it instructed me to enter a password. I assumed that it was instructing me to CREATE a password in order to print over the network. Canon tech support resolved this problem. Installation proceeded until I received an error message stating "Scan Gear could not be installed". I re-tried several times and received the same error message so I tried downloading this file from the Canon website. I'm assuming that I correctly installed the downloaded file (I received no error messages). Printer setup continued and then came to another grinding halt. I called tech support again and they did trial and error problem solving. They suggested that I change networks (from the community network to the private network). This change allowed the installation to proceed to the end. Printer is working well. One complaint that I do have is my non-ability to fill-in and print blank checks. I had an earlier Pixma printer model that allowed me to fill-in and print blank checks using data (date, payable-to, amounts etc) from my word processing program. I created a word-processor template that allowed me to enter this information and then send the data to the printer. The printer document feeder could handle the small check-sized paper and the printer would print the data from the word-processor into the pre-defined spaces on the blank checks that I would feed into the document feeder. The MX922 document feeder and paper trays do not allow check-sized paper to be fed into the printer so I've lost the ability to print checks on this printer
