Amp was as described with some signs of age and use, Replaced ALL caps, including the six large filters, set bias and voltages and was rewarded with the full 502 watts of audio output, awesome! Replaced the front panel with a new panel with handles. Although the top and bottom covers are not perfect, the panel and meters are a 10! Sounds great

Already had one and wanted a matching unit for home theater. This one is in fine shape and does what we need it to. Powerful, clean, accurate.

My resent purchase of a Carver M500t is a winner, its not my first M500 and I simply love them I am currently running them in mono configuration which is over kill one would be enough as each delivers clear, clean power. an added bonus are the power meters (just a cool factor) a great value even at 25 years old and working like new!
I have a Carver? M500T power amplifier that I have owned for a few years now and I love it. Although it may be more power than I need, I seem to be having a hard time parting with it. I'm using Polk audio rti a-7 tower speakers and the sound is amazing. Alot of people believe these amplifiers to be 500 watts per channel. They are not. They are manufactured at 251 watts per channel!

The sound and quality of this Carver amplifier is what makes this a great amplifier. With it's tube sound from solid state components it is a great addition to my system. If you want plenty of power to drive your speakers, Carver amps are the way to go.
