I saved a lot of money buying this product used. It was a lot less labor and time involved. The part fit and I’m able to mow my grass. The shipping was fast also.

My Swisher 24" walk behind brush mower was notorious for kick back on cold starts ripping the t-handal out of my hand. That hurts! The last time is kicked back is tore off the t- handle so I had to repair that. That was the last time. I purchased a flywheel with a ring gear, 12 volt starter, solenoid, and a push button switch. I wired these together with a plus - minus terminal block. Now I connect jumper cables to the terminals and push the button. When the engine is warm it starts easy with the pull rope.

I had to replace the original plastic ring gear on my Craftsman tractor equipped with a Briggs and Stratton 13 HP I/C gold motor. This came off a 15.5 HP motor of the same series and had a cast ring grear and the magnito intact. The hardest part of this whole transplant was trying to get the original flywheel off the motor. Once off, this was a perfect replacement and my tractor has been starting properly ever since. An new flywheel with the same cast ring gear is more than $150.00. I paid 20 and I am extremely happy.

Recieved flywheel with hammer marks on top from improper removal. Had to re work machined surfaces to make it usable.

The flywheel sent was an exact fit and went right in. Unfortunately it wasn't the only problem and now I've learned all about the need for straight key journals on the crankshaft. But that's another story.
