Sounds great but very tricky to connect to late model smart TV. The series ll is an older system and has no HDMI. And later tvs have no RCA connections. I have sound with cable tv, radio, CD and DVD but not with antenna tv or youtube etc. Think about it and do your research. You may want to go with a series lll.

The only difference between this power cord and similar ones of the same quality that can be bought in stores like Goodwill for several dollars, is that this one that I mistakenly bought has the name BOSE in the insertion tip.

Overall the Bose 3-2-1 System works as expected. It does have an intermittent connection on one of the composite video ports. I have to move the RCA plug to make connection to get good color, but with a little persistance it seems to be holding now. The bass is very good and for the size of the front two speakers the sound is quite good. I do worry about the reliability of the DVD player as that seems to be the least reliable part of the system. I thought mine was bad, but later found out the DVD itself had a problem. I bought the system primarily for the sound it produces so if the DVD player fails, one can always use an outboard unit for playing DVD's. The overall condition of this unit was good. The previous owner had apparently had a problem with the subwoofer as there were visible evidence someone had had the unit apart. The important issue with me is the unit works well so what more can one ask for and the price was fair. The other feature about this unit is I got to clear the center speaker from the equipment shelf as well as two sets of speakers for the front and rear sound of my previous 5 channel surround sound system.Read full review
The Bose 3-2-1 system was very easy to install and setup, very good instructions provided by the company. I placed in on my Panasonic 53in rear projection tv. The system has four main pieces - the acoustimass module, media center, and two very small left/right speakers. The connections were coded so installation was a snap. The system requires only one 120v plug - The acoustimass module powers the media center, as well as houses the amps and subwoffer. The media center houses a cd/dvd player and takes commands from the remote control which is very well thought out and is able to be programmed for your tv. The Bose system reported to provide excellent sound quality and it did not disappoint. I watched a couple of action movies, Transformers and Star Troopers and the unit really provides a great surround sound effect. How they do it with only three speakers is really amazing. If you can pick one up on ebay at a reduced price it is really worth it. The list price is around $1000, but I bought my for about a third of that. So for that kind of money I am very pleased.Read full review
I really like the simplicity of the 321 the DVD door is a little suspect (it won't open), since it is not Blu Ray you can use another Blu Ray player instead. This is a very easy system to get up and running. The sound is very good, but it is not Surround sound like. Bose has done a nice job with this unit, but it may not be worth the price Bose wanted when new. It is a quality sound system and the radio works very well with the antenna's provided. The subwoofer rocks, it is not over powering like some surround sound models.
