To the point, but beware of bruised pride.
I do enjoy Glenn Beck's radio show, and I knew he and I share similar views. Thankfully, he is not only a point-blank speaker, but he has common sense. This book is no different, but to appreciate it, you cannot be faint of hear, and your feelings can't be as delicate as an expensive glass flute. He tells you how it is. I will say I can take only so much of Glenn at a time. He is much like the liberals he so rags on in the fact that his way is law, and if you don't agree, then you must be stupid. He makes a lot of sense in many of his subjects, and for a far right conservative speaker, he is fairly tolerant. This book is good to be able to counter many subjects liberals tend to enjoy bringing up knowing their debate competition is usually ill-informed or not informed at all, and usually, so is the person trying to make the point. TADA! Hence this book, and its so appropriate title.

Glenn Beck, undefeated happy warrior, takes on all comers.
'Arguing with Idiots' is a great book by Glenn Beck, the much maligned author and co-author of many other political books. Mr. Beck is a fount of energy, insight, and courage. The idiots he speaks of are the apologist for the radicals who are on the ascendancy in our political landscape. These radicals argue for vast government control of our lives via economic and social policies. Mr. Beck advances logical and coherent refutation of those who believe that government is the solution to the needs and aspirations of humanity. He argues for the time-tested formula of personal freedom and reliance upon God. His adversaries, with their entrenched economic interests, have resorted to personal invective against Mr. Beck as their primary rejoinder. As always, Mr. Beck employs Voltairian tongue in cheek satire to make his points, about which he is deadly serious.

Glenn is now my Guru. Capitalist Pig! Read and LEARN!
Fabulous book! It's hard to say (without sounding like his P.R. man) how much I respect Glen Beck's brilliance in researching, analyzing and explaining in simple, understandable terms. He reveals the real Liberal Agenda. I've always been a free-market fan and a successful entrepreneurial businessman. I call myself a real Republican, but WOW what an eye opener! When I started reading Beck's latest masterpiece of research and analysis, I realized it wasn't just me who thought this way. We've never seen liberty under such aggressive attack by liberals, and in this fascinating book, Glenn lifts the facade offv the liberal agenda and tells it like it is. It's as if 40 years of choked down liberal frustration has been vomited upon the most successful American people. Beck is fighting for American Freedom, Liberty and Independence, and he abhors excessive government control. As Glenn says nightly at the beginning of his television show on Fox, "Come on my fellow Americans, Follow Me!" Once again, Glenn on the mark, so prepare to think a lot. At times as I read this book, I actually couldn't focus. I was so intensely affected by the immense accumulation of knowledge and common sense of this brilliant young man that I occasionally had a hard time reading this book... not because it was a boring read, in fact, quite the contrary. I found myself realizing that I was just as infuriated as Glenn is. He brings the issues together, and honestly reveals the reasons WHY the American public is suffering in these troubled times. Others in the media can not, or should I say, will not broadcast or write about the typical issues Beck bluntly addresses on every page in this book. His references are impeccable! His analysis? Brilliant, honest and thought-provoking. Beck opens the door to countless, well hidden in liberal disguise, issues. He says he gives you the facts so you can decide. Believe me, he does! I couldn't stop shaking my head side to side as Beck exposed story after story of liberal mismanagement of government without regard to political part. He was hard on George Bush. Glenn is a National Treasure, and he wrote a masterpiece book!! You'll love it, but it isn't for the weak of heart!

very informative
I do a lot of reading on what's going on in our country today and this is one of the most informative books I've read in the past 20 years. I love the way Glenn backs up what he says. The sources section is longer than some of the chapters. I don't like to be patronized and I don't like hyperbole and Glenn avoids both. His ADD moments kept me busy as I was running through the chapters and I've heard from several of my friends that the ADD moments were their favorites. Also, since I love really old books, I especially enjoyed the "weathered-page" look; not only was the information good but it was pleasant on the eyes. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to pass by all the media fluff and find out what's really going on in this country and what we can do about it before we wake up one day soon and find that we've lost all our freedoms.

BECK'S RIGHT! THEY CAN'T ARGUE W/ FACTS & THEY'RE HERE!
Beck doesn't just pull stuff out of thin air, he provides all his resources for all the information he is providing you. In very short order, I have become a big fan. Obama and his cronies can call Fox News an illegitimate news source all they want but do they really think the American people are so stupid that they won't make the connection that it was FOX NEWS that broke the ACORN story, the Van Jones story, Kevin Jennings story, Anita (I love Chairman Mao)Dunn story.... (shall I go on?) but Obama and his go-to guys' 'real news networks' hadn't uttered a peep about all these stories? How convenient! I don't care if someone is a socialist, a communist or whatever! Just be upfront about it and tell us what you think and let us decide. Don't scream about transparency and openness and then do a web scrub-up of your Czars so voters can't see who you've chose to advise you and carry out your mission, Mr. President. I say, THANK GOD FOR BECK AND FOX NEWS!! If not for them, just who would have told us about these very concerning issues! This administration and most everyone with whom Obama has surrounded himself are being exposed DAILY thanks to Beck and he's gotten their attention! They hope and pray people won't take Beck seriously - imagine that! Pay attention and you'll be as surprised as I have been and continue to be. It just gets better and better. I say - Thank God for Beck!
