The flapper is mounted much higher than the previous tower version, but it still flushes fine. So I guess in the long run I will be saving on the amount of water used for each flush. My American Standard Champion is a 1.6 gallon flush. I did not use the included rubber gasket, since I had a new one of that size that seemed of better quality.

it is a good product, however, due to the design of the toilet, it is kind of a pain to install. The old "flapper" toilets were easier to fix since all you had to do was take off the old flapper valve and install a new one--five minute job. On this toilet, you must remove the tank, remove the old valve/fill tube assembly and install the new one.

If you’ve tried to stop a leak in your American Standard Champion 4 toilet, most of us tried three or four times before finding a solution. The hole in the bottom of the tank is 4 inches and none of the hardware stores carry this fix. You will need the appropriate tank gasket as it is not included.

This is the wrong size and will not fit my toilet. My toilet is a standard size 2 inch, and this one is a 3 inch. I’ve never seen a 3 inch toilet flapper before in my entire life

For $20 it should include the big doughnut gasket and the 2 gaskets that hold the tank to the bowl. Both leaked. I had to go to Home to buy them. The money was not the problem it was the aggravation. It was having to take the water supply off, bailing the water out of the tank, removing the tank and reassembling the tank with new gaskets. I will never buy another American Standard toilet again.
