I loved the price and the picture. Quick, easy setup, crystal clear, and no dead/stuck pixels. The picture quality is as good or better than the 17" Viewsonic LCD that it replaced. Why NOT an excellent rating? Two relatively minor mechanical issues: (1) Two screws on the bottom of the base will not screw in far enough to clear the desk top (I could dis-assemble and counter-sink a tad more but my old desk is not going to look any worse with a couple more scratches). (2) I read at least one review that complained about how HARD the power- and other buttons were to push - I had the same problem - initially. After a few weeks I stumbled on to the fact that the button axis is NOT perpendicular BUT PARALLEL to the screen (no mention of this in the instructions). I'd buy it again in a flash and have recommended it to friends.Read full review
I shopped around for a while before settling on the Acer 22" Monitor, and I feel it paid off. I'm extremely please with this monitor. I have a crystal clear display which makes all my previous monitors seem like I was using the display on my cell phone. This is a great sized screen. I use it a lot for editing photos and you can see every detail. I highly recommend this monitor, you can't beat this quality at this price!
I bought this monitor from newegg.com for $150 including shipping. GREAT BUY!!! I'm a computer software engineer and need all the screen I can get. My friend bought a 22" Samsung within the same week I bought this, and I can't tell a difference between the monitors (other than about $200). The only downfalls of the monitor is the stand. Although it looks cool, it seems to be a bit fragile and the monitor shakes a little when typing. If you plan to mount the monitor, this doesn't matter, and truthfully, it doesn't take away much from how great this monitor is. Great picture... great resolution... overall, great monitor. BUY IT!
I read reviews on Newegg.com about this monitor before I decided to bid one on ebay. Although I received an x223w, it is essentially identical as x223wbd according to Acer USA. As the reviews described, x223wbd is bright, easy to set up, good color/contrast, works perfectly with vista, no dead/hot pixel, except slight light bleeding on the edges, which is totally acceptable for me. 200$ for a 22inch lcd monitor (150$ after cashback), I can't ask for more. Very satisfied and highly recommended for budget buyers.
The monitor is a good one and was at a great price. My particular one, however, does not seem to keep its settings. I keep having to "reset" the monitor settings, because every time I turn it on, the image is VEYR BLURRY. I have read the manual, set the settings, it's just a bad one I guess. Once corrected, the monitor is very nice. Until I shut it off and turn it on again.
