Good for the price

I read the reviews before buying this. Some said it came with some light scratches and dings or didn't fit properly. Mine came just with some scratches , I'm not mad about it because I read the reviews before buying and knew there might be a possibility it would come scratched. But that's a simple fix just spray paint it down with good paint to avoid rusting and make it brand new. Overall I'm very satisfied with it. It'll do what it was meant to do. Load things. For the price you cannot beat it at all, it will do the same thing a $300 rack would do. I recommend this to anyone wanting the extra space for whatever you need it for. Good price , not bad quality. If you don't mind it coming with a scratch or two which is easy to fix than this is the right rack for you.

Great price

Ordered this and it came quickly, when I got the rack, it had scratches in the paint in many areas, but no deep scratches. In one area the metal was bent where the front and middle section of the rack meet together, but it seemed to not affect how it fit together. This roof rack is very sturdy, however I cannot say the same for the center of it. But the front and rear section are very sturdy, I cannot bend this at all. As for the chips in the paint, these were no bother to me as I planned to rhino line it anyway. However, 2 cans of spray paint from autozone will ensure that no rust starts on the roof rack. I do like it, it is large and fits great on my Jeep Cherokee. It looks good as well, and definitely is worthy of purchase. (You will also need an allen key to put this together, but it comes with all the bolts needed to assemble it)

Solid rack

I ordered this rack for my 2005 Subaru Forester. It fits well! I read the reviews before I ordered it, and just like they all say there are a few small scratches in the paint here and there. Overall I am happy with this product. Instruction are minimal, however, it is very easy to assemble and install. I would recommend this rack for the price for sure.

Another Way to Install the Mounting Brackets

Rack came within 2 days of ordering, much faster than the estimated shipping time. It was easy to assemble as I watched several videos on YouTube first. An allen wrench was not supplied. The wind fairing on the front is welded on which is a nice feature. Also, I don't notice any turbulence noise when driving. If you install the mounting brackets per the instructions, the u-bolts or castle nuts may project up into the storage area causing problems if you are hauling cardboard boxes. Based on another person's suggestion, I installed them upside down as shown in the picture below. For security, I'll add some thread lock compound to the u-bolts.

very good buy

it took some work to fit it together because the tubes didn't align. takes patience and 4 hands ideally. I put long rods inside the center tubes lengthwise which added a lot of strength. sprayed with rust protectant and we will see. it makes no noise in high speeds or otherwise. lightweight but sturdy. the design has very long bolts which fasten it to the car rack which protrude up into the load area and could pierce or scratch the cargo. I covered them with heavy tape. would be better if it mounted the reverse so the bolt ends face towardteh rood of the car.
