    Four early Beatles US Capitol albums in mono and stereo

    This Long box collection vol 2 has four early Beatles albums on CD as released in the US with an interesting 28 page booklet telling the story of the Beatles early album releases in the US, and why they differ in several ways from the early albums released in the UK, which is of interest from a British aspect. The albums are of course EMI original recordings presented in stereo and mono. I suspect some of the mono recordings were 'doctored' by Capitol records from the stereo tapes as the timings are virtually identical for both versions, whereas the mono and stereo takes were separately recorded and hence had differing timings. This does not take away the pleasure of listening to the tracks. Only the fanatical purists might have a different view!! Not cheap or easy to source in the UK, ...

    very very happy I own 3 of these and the original I bought in 2006 with wrong remaster of rubber soul these are the best original mono versions avail since the 1960s releases I highly recommended for anyone to purchase.
