    A Powdery but Smoke Filled Delight -Chant d'Aromes

    Found myself wearing this multiple times. It quite powdery at first but dies down into a quintessential Guerlain smell-- Smokey, deep. A direct relative to Chamade. With the powder notes (floral and fruity top notes) it's great for summer but more fitting for early fall. Enjoying! Nicely packaged by buyer.

    Great price for a classic perfume

    Guerlain's perfumes and colognes have a history of being well blended and quite pretty often with mossy powdery drydowns dubbed "guerlainade". While corporate takeover has brought mixed results and reformulations the heart of many of their older compositions has remained still rather high quality for decent prices. Chant d'Aromes from 1962, reissued in 2005 is a sweet and fresh chypre composition with hesperidic green notes, fruit and lots of honeysuckle giving way to the incense, musk, oakmoss and resins of Guerlainade. Delicious and light.
