    Highly recommended EC recording

    This Demon Records Remastered Extended Play version of Elvis Costello & The Attractions "Punch The Clock" album features an excursion into use of a horn section (The TKO Horns) to funk up the band's sound. The result gave Bruce Thomas opportunity to step to the fore with some superb bass playing. The top commercial tracks are featured, "Let Them All Talk", the superbly commercial "Everyday I Write The Book", the menacing "Pills & Soap" & the industrial commentary "Shipbuilding". Additionally a personal favourite of mine the catchy "Charm School" is superb & the additional tracks of non album & live tracks are a welcome addition. The package is completed with a comprehensive booklet giving an insight to the album, track lyrics etc. Mastering is superb & once again the album showcases ...
