    Difficult HVAC system to keep working

    I have a chevy 2500 crew cab pickup with this automated HVAC system. I have replaced four Dorman 599-211's and every one of the damper operators. Had it to the Chevy mechanic to correct HVAC system codes. Yes they re not check engine lights, Lots of time spent researching what correct damper is required and putting them in is not easy. So I needed another controller for summer air conditioning and bought the 211XD. When I installed it I was surprised the hear dampers move and I had no set as prior models. Everything looked good for a few days and then it quit. I filed a warrantee claim and ordered another. Dorman is the only source and manufacturers suppy of OEM have runout. A day before the second one came the first one started working. And has been working ever since. So I have a ...

    Works like the factory unit. Two things that kinda bug me at first. One is the outside temp is only displayed when it is off. Factory changed to it when you was done adjusting temp. The buttons back lights is really bright compared to all the factory lights in the vehicle.
