| The Energy Connoisseur Main Stereo Speakers are a great choice for designing or upgrading a home entertainment system. These main stereo speakers are specifically floor standing and designed for use in fairly spacious areas. The Energy CF-50 Stereo Speakers house 3 by 5.5-inch woofers with Ribbed Elliptical Surround, tapered crossover, and 1 by 1-inch hyperbolic aluminum-dome tweeter. Ribbed Elliptical Surround technology dramatically reduces distortion and improves fidelity. These Energy Connoisseur Main Stereo Speakers belt out a powerful sound, amplifying sounds ranging from 20 to 250 watts. Specifically, the main stereo speakers deliver a forceful and compelling distortion-free low-frequency response (+/- 3dB). Furthermore, the speakers have an impedance rate of 8 ohm with a sensitivity rate of 96 dB. These Energy Connoisseur Main Stereo Speakers feature a flat on-axis frequency response of 39 Hz to 20 kHz with wide bandwidth, wide and constant dispersion, and low distortion and resonance, reproducing the entire audio range in a consistent process. The speakers feature a magnetically shielded bass reflex with front-firing port in the event of close placement to home appliances. Additionally, the Energy CF-50 Stereo Speakers can be connected in three different ways: through a traditional connection method using speaker wire and speaker cable, a bi-wire method using multiple cables and connectors accessing both sets of terminals on the loudspeakers simultaneously, and a bi-amplification method using two separate two-channel amplifiers to power one set of speakers. These speakers measure 7.1 inches in width by 14.6 inches in depth by 38.6 inches in height and weigh 39.2 lbs. | |

The Best Mid Range Budget Speakers You Can Buy.
For the price I don't think you can find a better pair of stereo speakers. No, Energy is not super high end, top of line or the latest gadget to hit the market, but they excel at keeping things simple with the highest quality possible. All sound ranges from deep base to highest treble come through clear with no loss of quality if you want to turn it up to 11. For my budget (about $700) I don't think I could've found anything better.

Audiophile sound in a tight package and very reasonably priced
I have a pair of these speakers in my media room, and they absolutely kill it. I've put them up against speakers from B&W and couldn't tell a difference, expect for the fact that the Energy's had waaay better base and were much less expensive. I really have too much speaker for my spare bedroom (turned into a media room) but who the heck cares. I didn't even run surround speakers - I have my receiver in Virtual Surround mode, and coupled with my 250 watt Definitive Technology sub, the system sounds like it's 5.1. The glossy black finish on the bottom is a nice touch as well.

I'm a Energy Speakers believer. They are well constructed with quality pieces, sound wonderful with my Yamaha receiver and are a great value. Too bad no longer manufactured.
