    I bought a 11.5 hp B&S for another project last year. I have always had starting issues with it and nearly through out my shoulder before getting it started. This DuroMax engine, with significantly more hp starts almost always on the first pull and has proven to be reliable for the relatively short time that I have had it. I have now run approximately 10 tanks of gas through it with no problems. As it cost about half what I paid for the B&S last year, I wish I had just bought two of these then.

    Great engine but charger missing?

    Excellent engine, just details missing. Would give it a 5 star if it had the bolt size for its smaller bolt hole pattern. There are 2 bolt circles around the shaft. The inner one appears to be M7 screws, as M6 and M8 did not work, and 1/4" bolts did not work either. Whatever the case, we concluded that the bolts were metric because other parts of the engine in the manual were metric. However, there was no specification in the manual for the actual bolt size, so we guessed it was M7, which we could not find in local hardware stores so we are getting them online. The second part - it does not have charging capacity for a battery? I checked the output of the wires coming out of the engine - none were a 12V charging output. The manual did not mention anything about battery charging ...

    well made with good air filter better than predator engine installing on 1972 murray snow blower still making changes to frame for engine to fit properly have not yet started engine
